YMCA of Austin - TOWNLAKE Y

I love love love the Town Lake YMCA My family joined a month ago and we are kicking ourselves for not having joined sooner.They have so many amenities- huge indoor pool small indoor pool hot tub sauna steam room locker rooms with showers basketball gym weight room all the exercise equipment you could dream of multiple class rooms for everything from Zumba to yoga to core strength and weight classes.My favorites so far are Cardio Dance Funk and Yogalates. My boys love the weights and exercise equipment. My husband likes a variety of classes and weights and rowing machine. He and I went on a quick walk along Lady Bird Lake after our class yesterday morning. Its just so great The people are chill and its great for people of all ages.

They have like 10 squat racks. Its insane. First gym I have been to where I dont have to wait to get on one.Only downside is the showerlocker room is kinda gross. So I dont ever utilize them. Bathrooms outside of that are very clean though.Also could use a few more treadmills but the space is small so I understand the constraint.

This recreational place which contains gyms and swimming pools for all ages is a clean and safe place for the family hot and clean water and a safe closed place for the safety of children. It has a jacuzzi swimming pools and gymnasiums for slimming and building muscle. They have programs for all ages at competitive prices supported for families with limited income. I recommend it to all families and individuals who want cleanliness and reasonable price

Around a month ago I was sojourning in Austin for the purpose of viewing the celestial phenomenon the Total Solar Eclipse. I was looking for a YMCA to exercise at since I am a member of one back home but unfortunately my home YMCA recently joined the chain and thus doesnt have its nationwide portal properly configured yet.However despite my failed entry attempts Townlake YMCA staff were very cordial and understanding of my issue. Instead of directing me to purchase a one day pass staff allowed me to enter completely free of chargeon multiple occasions.Heightening my satisfaction with this particular Y was the fact that its surroundings are absolutely prepossessing and that it is situated in a very convenient location it is practically right on the Colorado River and on the outskirts of downtown. In addition the facility is one of the best Ive ever witnessed boasting new equipment and a fun-to-navigate layout.I will definitely be returning next time I visit Austin though I am not sure if I will do so anytime soon considering the citys growing homeless and crime problemsAt any rate this gymnasium thoroughly impressed me and significantly enhanced my experience in Austin.

Came to the gym a few times during the 2024 eclipse week and had a great time. If you want to lift this place has basically everything you need and is affordable. Heartily recommend.

Very friendly staff first of all. The atmosphere is very great and theres plenty of space. The workout rooms are great a great diversity of workout machines and the basketball court upstairs is nice as well. The indoor pool is a big plus

This is my favorite YMCA in central Texas. The staff here work hard to maintain this YMCA and provide a welcoming experience and it shows. This facility is well equipped and kept clean Ive been to many YMCAs with unusable amenities due to a lack of upkeep but this is not one of them. There is ample space to get a great workout in though it does get busy during peak hours and lots of friendly folks willing to have a conversation. I like that there is a steam room in addition to the sauna and it doesnt smell like others Ive used.

Good Morning Everyone I hope yall are chillingout enjoying your weekend. All I will say is this....Townlake YMCA. I belong to 24 Hour Fitness....have been a member for a few...yes um a couple of decades From Sunny California To Las Vegas Here in TEXAS.. ONLY BY GODS GRACE Oregon in the near future. However... One thing I have dreamed of hoped prayed Im living. All the trauma im living with Walking My Way Day by Day....Through It The Trauma.....to Be living 3 minutes from the LADYBIRD Lake Trail is one of the most Truly Beautiful Experiences. I walk every single day the problem is I Am So Very Deeply Overwhelmed By The Anghts Of Hate Racism....I am wqlking further each day but theArthritis In My Feet Is getting worse...from the extra walking. Its A Double Edged Sword. Walk to heal more undeserved intended tort emotion distress....more walking. Help Happy Grateful but the 55 up complex I live in....Is An Unbelievable Nightmare. Im doing all I can to Force Change but its taking its toll.

Fantastic staff that stay positive and friendly every day of the week. Very clean facility high standard of maintenance and great selection of equipment. Even Hack Squat Belt Squat Machines in the basement though only a Lying Leg Curl no Seated Leg Curl. They open 2 hours early for women on Sundays which is very cool I LOVE the Townlake YMCA

Wow Check out this YMCA NOWThe best equipment and deal in gym-rich and pricey Austin.They completed a huge upgrade from top to bottom State of the art equipment and flooring. Love the staff.Check out the photos. Ill update as it goes.

I have to say the swim class for my 7 year old was a steal. The classes are 40 minutes long and after wards he can swim in the smaller side pool to...

Im disappointed to leave this review but I was harassed by a member at the Townlake location. I used to think this was an easy going gym and good for all...
