I commend the ER surgical and ICU staffs. Once the patient leaves the ICU the patient care floors are horrendous. Please advocate for your family members. The patient care staff has no problem in ignoring your family members needs and will leave them in pain without trying to make them more comfortable.

After a thorough and very professional intake into the ER for a life threatening infection I was admitted upstairs into a beautiful 1 patient private room with the warmest cozy and most comfortable environment..to be honest I would compare it to the Courtyard by Marriott. I have been very blessed to have such an amazing and educated on point group of nurses and doctors There has been no need to ask a single question about my treatment plan what was going to happen next or any worry about where they were taking me in the hospital when I needed to have x-rays or an MRI..at any point of my stay because of the thoughtfulness and consideration taken to keep me informed beforehand. I couldnt have asked for a better or more comfortable stay. Thank you AMC for your EXCEPTIONAL EXCELLENT CARE

The staff is kind and were trying to make me laugh in a hard situation. It definitely took longer than expected to get attention I waited for transportation in a wheel chair for almost 20 minutes on the second floor was told to wait and not move myself They also made a mistake with a test I was supposed to take which led me to being there a whole other hour which was inconvenient to say the least. The place is pretty run down and dirty I was definitely shocked to see this door handle and a few other spots that needed some attention in the emergency room. Something was going on with police officers but they were really just standing around laughing for 20 minutes which was odd. I most likely wont be returning Id rather not contract anything.

My son was born here 10yrs ago. They have one of the best prenatal care centers. They saved his life. So for that I will give 3 stars.Unfortunately 10 years later coming to the emergency room with a possible broken wrist the receptionist at intake are extremely unorganized. They have no system in place when processing patients. They were unorganized and confused. And the female receptionist is too prima donna not professional nor quick witted at all which is needed for this type of position. The intake nurse appears to be okay yet slow and aloof. I had to complain to get the nurse to give him pain medication while we wait to get an X-ray. Yet Im grateful that the doctors are great and the X-ray tech was wonderful. Now waiting for results.

My son had an allergic reaction and couldnt breath so we visited the ER today. The staff was excellent they took him in immediately when they saw he could not breath. My wife went in with him and as I sat in the waiting room I observed how the staff took care of everyone showing genuine concern and quickly giving them direction. I have lived here my entire life and was born in this very hospital. I hope that this hospital continues to show improvement and I really appreciate the way the staff in the ER. Dec 4 2021 from 7-10pm.

I went in for AM preop in order to get a knee arthroscopy. The facility was dirty the nurses who were supposed to be getting me ready for my surgery were too busy talking about cupcakes and gifts they were giving each other to pay attention to my well-being. My iv was inserted poorly as the nurse wasnt prepared and was moving the hand she had on my iv needle side to side while the IV needle was inserted in order to grab the things she needed from across the hospital bed causing extreme pain. These motions caused blood to go everywhere. I told her the iv hurt minutes after it was inserted and she responded with yeah its supposed to hurt that bad which it isnt. My arm swelled. My iv site is swollen bruised and has a huge lump on it. It looks to be infected. My iv was never flushed or cleaned of the blood. The nurses after confirming if I was allergic to latex proceeded to use latex on me. Causing burning rashes and hives all on my body. When I finally decided I wanted my iv taken out or redone I was told no for both. The pain was unbearable. I decided to not get the procedure done that I needed in order to have full mobility in my knee. Go anywhere else but here. The nurses could care less about what they are doing to you. You should never be told no by a nurse when they do something wrong that causes you pain.

The ER visit itself wasnt great but I know what ERs are like. I did take pictures of the blood on the walls and I did note that it took 93 minutes for me...

This hospital is where I had my first baby. I was fearful about AMC due to the negative reviews. However from the moment my husband and I arrived till the moment we discharged the entire staff was amazing.I know I was getting on my nurses nerves because I called her in every other minute. However it didnt stop her from being kind and understanding of how much pain I was in.My doctor and the on call doctor were amazing. They have such amazing personalities and made me feel comfortable. The mother and baby unit was consistent with the labor and delivery staff. I have no issues coming back again for my next baby

Took my husband here for a ruptured Achilles. The Registration admin Security Drs and Nurses here are so helpful and polite. All ER visits are longer than we want them to be. But we were well taken care of the entire time.Side note there should be signs in the Parking deck B elevator that specify which floor takes you to the main hospital.

My father was transferred here a few days ago from another WellStar facility in middle GA. My arrival in the emergency room was not well received. They couldnt tell me if he was here or not. Once I was on the phone with a family member mentioning calling the hospital administrator I was quickly escorted to see him.We asked for 3 days for his vascular surgeons at Piedmont Atlanta to be contacted 3 days later it hasnt happened. The pictures below show you the horrid conditions of the patient rooms. Water back ups problems controlling the temperature and lack of maintenance. In regards to the temperature theres nothing they can do and the nurses have complained about it already.
