The Imagine Center for Psychological Health - Midtown Detroit

Like others have mentioned we have been waiting 6 WEEKS for the evaluation report to be sent to us. I have called 7 times over the course of these 6 weeks to follow up and receive the same response every time we will look into it etc.. We were initially told 2 weeks. No one answers the phone you have to leave a message and they will call you back which is the ONLY way you are able to speak to someone. Completely unprofessional hopefully other parents read these reviews as there are several complaints regarding the same issue. There is absolutely no reason to withhold medical recordsreports from a patient after several attempts and weeks to receive them. Clearly there is something seriously wrong with this practice....please listen to the reviews and beware

Do not take your daughters here. Its a terrible sinking feeling as a woman to walk into your assessment and realize that you are more well studied on female presentations of autism and high masking autistic populations that your test proctor. I was asked extremely outdated questions like whether I have a special interest in trains planes or tanks and was told that I am too social and outgoing and am physically able to make eye contact thus I must not be autistic despite all modern research completely disproving those traits as necessary for an autism diagnosis. Dont waste your time or money on these autism experts who are close to 15 years behind on their actual expertiseEdit and in convinced so many of these 5 star reviews are fake or created by the business themselves no way 70 of people are leaving 1 star reviews and the other 30 are all 5 stars sans a few obviously real ones

They made an appointment to go over and never showed up. I have called over and over you can only leave a voicemail and they dont call back at all. I highly recommend going to a different place if you want your child taken care of.

If I could give 0 stars I would so unprofessional if u have appointment just know u will wait for over a hr after that appointment Time these doctors dont care about your time and your schedule ur not notified if they are running behind ect.. I could go on and on I have been waiting 40 mins fora 2 oclock called and talked to someone and they said well we can do a 4 doc is behind um no we will reschedule when its good for me

UPDATE Its now been 3 MONTHS and I still havent received my results smdh. They said 2-4 weeks for results its been 6 weeks and no results. Primary doctor sent records release forms and they still havent gotten anything. When I call I have to leave a message. Someone usually calls back but cannot provide any updates or answers. People are seeking the help they need but cant get it. Mental health just isnt a priority

Very unprofessionalAlso they do not keep good records of clientsTherapists are either very opinionated or dont have enough experience to deal with people who are complete train wrecks in my opinionFurthermore it takes them 2 to 3 days to return a call if youre luckyA complete jokeSteer clear

I echo sentiments in the negative reviews. I do not understand why it takes half a year to send a report that should have automatically been sent. Either they have horrible staffmanagement dont care or they have way too many clients which then is about money not service. Im not sure why a provider of mental health services would be the one to cause the delay in the client receiving needed services for mental health and school. I have referred several children here for evaluations more than once. Since the city shut down they have continued to decline. The lack of return phone calls and emails release of information requests arent filled and extreme inability to get test results makes this provider one that I will never refer to clients again. There should be a state complaint and they taken off the list for IEE providers. You have been warned.

This has been a HORRIBLE experience. The evaluation themselves were fine but it has been MONTHS and they still have not sent us our reports so we can get our 504 plans at the school. You can never get ahold of staff theyre poorly organized and nobody will ever get back to you about your care. I am beyond frustrated with this program. I would not EVER recommend it to anyone.

I had a great experience with the Imagine Center. My son who is 5 years old was evaluated. They were very efficient and very friendly. We had one hiccup when it came to his evaluation but they were very accommodating and got the job done. When I got my sons results the doctor went over everything right over the phone and sent me his results immediately through email and also mailed me a hard copy. They even called to verify my address before they mailed it out. I did not wait months or weeks to get my information for my son. Since getting his results Ive been able to get him the help that he needs at school and in everyday life. Thank you Imagine Center

Please understand that the state of mental health services in Michigan is dismal. The Imagine Center is one of the few that still does autism diagnosis in adults and they are extremely busy. They are also one of the few that take United Healthcare and other underrepresented insurances. My experience with them was very beneficial. They did their job well and I was able to get the help I need.Also please understand that most of the ratings for this office are coming from hurting vulnerable people like myself. They are upset and in turmoil and may be finding it difficult to understand the limited resources that The Imagine Center has to work with.Please be kind and patient.
