Texas Children's Pediatrics - Midtown

All of my children arewere patients of Dr. Hawkins ranging from 25-5. Ive yet to locate a physician like the team at Midtown Pediatrics.

They are good I just dont like the waiting experience you can come on time even early and still be waiting. Ive been here since 11 my daughter appointment was at 11. Filled out the proper paperwork to still be here at 1249pm to be exact and waiting losing patience and all she here for is a follow up

Dr.Lee hawkins is amazing They are always so nice and helpful with any questions. I was a first time mom when i came to dr.hawkins he always made sure my questions were answered and would reply to me through my chart for any questions i would have.

My daughter scheduled an appointment for today at 930 a.m. and no one answered the phone. Drove here to be told no one will be in until 10 am. Do you think someone shouldve notified us of the appointment delayed We have jobs also. Not professional at all. Now we have to sit in the car for 1 hrs and a half in 19-degree weather. I am waiting for them to open with my 3 yr old grand daughter.

I have been coming to this office for 25 12 yrs. Back when it was Dr. Monmouths pediatrics. From my oldest to the youngest....the front desk ppl the assistants are awesome Dr. Tonya Brown Price is the TRUTH she never rush she take her time and find out whats going on with your child..they treat you like family I love it here OK so they have a new doctor...Dr. Coleman and she is AWESOME.

First time at this location and I am very pleased. Dr. Coleman did an exceptional thorough checkup. She took her time to listen to all my concerns. All the staff was nice. Wait time was quick. Will continue to come to this location for future concernscheckups.

I love my sons doctor here but I am extremely tired of the lack of proper communication amongst the office staff. The solutions the administration offers lacks compassion and common sense.The first issue I had was two months ago when I called to schedule an appointment and I explained that my son and I were experiencing cold like symptoms but my son was wheezing. I was given an in office appointment and told we would be able to see our doctor. When we arrived the check-in nurse told me that we would not be able to enter because I was experiencing COVID like symptoms. I asked what other solutions the staff could offer because my child was not well. She said she would ask and told me to wait in the lobby. After 10 minutes she returned saying to call the front desk without further explanation. I called crying because I felt dismissed with poor communication. After calling the front desk they told me they could offer me a tele-visit and walked me through the process. I asked why it wasnt offered when I called scheduling the visit at first. No explanation was given.Today I had another sick visit scheduled after going to the Urgent Care yesterday. I scheduled this visit through the portal. When I arrived they asked me the same questions I had zero symptoms but my son who has been exhibiting the same respiratory issues for nearly 3 months did. The check-in staff said all was fine and instructed us to wait. When we walked to our room the nurse asked what our reasons were for being here and I answered the same questions and told her that we were here for the same issues as the previous visits. She said that because my son had a COVID test within the last 24 hours and the results were not back they could not see us. She apologized but said they could maybe offer a televisit. As I left the same staff member who screened us expressed confusion.I understand the precautions I understand that COVID is incredibly serious but the staffs lack of thorough communication at all three points wasted my time and adds stress to an already stressful situation. I genuinely feel that going to a different clinic would have solved or at least answered more or the questions I have regarding my sons health months ago without the stalemate of well it might be COVID even though multiple tests have proved that theory wrong. The Urgent Card was significantly more comprehensive than this.

I been with dr. Brown since i was a child. My daughters have been a patient since they were born. Sadly this year will be my last year coming here. Its like a sinking ship with the staff. Each year it gets worse and worse. These argumentative personnel just blows me. The consistent errors when it comes down the simple data entry. Lets not get on the insurance billing. Its a mess. I will not recommend.

I get the feeling people are being a little to generous in their reviews. This isnt a bad place but its not great either. Been taking my son here the past year and a half. Every time he has an appointment we are literally there for 3 hours. My sons last appointment I already knew he wasnt going to be seen anywhere near his scheduled appointment time and I knew we would be waiting in the patients room for 2 hours. Sure enough I was right. I understand its busy but 2 hours Without even popping in the room to apologize for the wait. On top of that the medical assistants arent friendly the rooms are filthy and parking rates keep going up. I will no longer be taking my son here.

So my mom explains to me that I was seen here as a kid. I know that she wants nothing but the best care for me. So I chose this doctor for my daughter. I have no desires to send my child elsewhere. The help and response to emergencies are tremendously prompt. Ive never had any bad experiences and I LOVE IT. Dr. Hawkins and Dr. Price always exceeds expectations.
