My husband and I went for his initial appointment with Dr. Lovitt this week. We were both really impressed with his interest in getting to the cause of my husbands neuropathy in his lower legs and feet. He did an EMG ordered blood work and had us make an appointment to come back for a visit in a couple of weeks to discuss his findings and what our next step would be. He listened well to our concerns and asked a lot of questions. He seemed very interested in figuring out the correct and more precise Issue that is the root of the problem. I also made an appointment the hour before my husbands to discuss my family history with Alzheimers and my concerns about early intervention for myself and if now is the time formy initial screening to get a baseline. We appreciated his enthusiasm and explanations in laymens terms

My visit while professional and brief was extremely rushed. Nobody wanted to speak to me at any length longer than it took to do their assigned task.I had to submit a formal records request to get my results sent back to my physician.I was even asked to do a records request to have my records sent to my insurance. Both of these parties are previously authorized to receive records. The person who answered the phone just didnt want to do it. She even said that she doesnt know how to contact my insurance company. I was a little bit floored because they manage to figure this out when they want to submit an invoice. They dont just throw up their hands and say they dont know where to send the bill.

Keep away from Dr. Steven Lovitt. If youre referred by a different doctor to him then ask for another trust me. Most of these doctors do a buddy system. They refer each other. My visit was super fast and when he was done with his test on me he said a few words and walked out I was still laying in bed and didnt give me the chance to get dressed and talked to me normal face to face. I then got dressed proceeded to the check out desk and I asked to speak to him again and he looked bothered when he approached me. I asked him one question because he didnt care to know or even asked if I had any questions inside the room. His answer to my question made no sense and he doesnt care if you understand it or not. It cost me hundreds of dollars for my visit and I regret it. Stay away from Dr. Lovitt theres a real reason why his reviews are so low.

This doctors office refused to even schedule an appointment for me unless I gave them my credit card information over the phone so they could charge me 100 for a no show cancellation feein the event I cancelled the appointment they were refusing to schedule. Im familiar with cancellation fees for no shows thats a common and acceptable practice nowadays but Im usually asked to review the policy once I get to the office. However a 100 fee is still outrageous and to insist on a credit card prior to even scheduling an appointment speaks loudly as to where this doctors loyalties are. Of course doctors need to be compensated for their time and expertise but at least let us think that patient care is still a priority especially during this COVID era.In addition to that Im sick of these doctors who think their time is more precious than their patients time. If Im late or have to cancel which almost never happens with me then Im penalized but wheres the penalty for them when I have to wait literally hours in the waiting room or examination room because they cant manage their time or theyre squeezing in as many as they can. Reallyhow can 3 patients all have an 1115 appointment timeWhile the medical community may have it hard because of the pandemic so do patients. Navigating care from our perspective is hard for patients too. Respect on both ends and grace from both sides is crucial but this doctors office is ridiculousThanks but no thanks I wont be taking my business here

I was experiencing drop foot syndrome in my left leg. I first consulted with a spinal neurosurgeon who after extensive tests and imagery determined that my condition was not the result of a spinal disorder. Dr. Steven Lovitt was then recommended and my primary care physician forwarded him my file.At my consultation with Dr.Lovitt he asked me a some questions made a visual inspection of my foot and its movements and then conducted an EMG test. It should be noted that my file already contained EMG test results. Apart from the visual assessment of my foots movements Dr. Lovitt did not visually examine or palpate my left leg. Dr. Lovitts diagnosis was that I had an idiopathic condition.During my consultation with Dr. Lovitt I observed that he was distracted and dismissive of my questions. At the time I thought he was simply having a doctors equivalent of a bad hair day.Later I discovered a tiny lump behind my left knee and my primary care physician ordered an MRI. The MRI showed a mass in the region of my peroneal nerve. Subsequent surgery by and orthopedic neurosurgeon removed two large ganglion cysts one adjacent and one entrained at my peroneal nerve.I do not question Dr. Lovitts skills or credentials he is recommended by physicians and therapists I hold in high regard. Also I note that of some of Dr. Lovitt reviews are complimentary. However since there are also reviews of Dr. Lovitt which are similar to mine where his attitude and behavior are cited I have decided to go on record.

Dr. Lovitt takes the time to listen to your health problem and does a very thorough professional job in caring for you as a person. I travelled from College Station to see him because he could see me so quickly and was able to do an EMG in his office to help with the diagnostics of my issue. I am so thankful for the excellent care he provided to me.

Dr. Lovitt was professional and I enjoyed my visit. He did put effort into talking with me but ultimately he could not figure out what was causing my lower back pain at 30 years old and his best estimate was some people are unlucky. I continued to research myself and discovered that Chronic Pelvic Pain Syndrome which affects up to 15 of 30-50 year old men was causing my problems. Hes a good doctor but even good ones arent going to do much for you nowadays if its outside the box. I do think if you have a straightforward spinal problem he would be good.

I highly recommend Dr Lovitt He is great My former neurologist retired so I found Dr Lovett and Im glad I did. He is extremely energetic and knowledgeable. He has patience and actually listens to you regarding your symptoms. This last visit I had to bring my 10m old and he started to get fussy and Dr Lovott started to play with him and picked him up He didnt seem upset or annoyed at all. You are in and out quickly and not there the whole day.

Not Recommended. The entire office treats you as if your just a number and then they will charge you to get a copy of your records as well as if another...

I brought my grandmother to see Dr. Lovitt on Monday. He was very thorough in his assessment and extremely nice He had so much patience with both me and my grandmother and was so happy to answer all of our questions. I dont think Ive ever been so happy with the way I was treated by a doctor. He even walked us out and gave my grandma a hug. I would recommend him to absolutely anyone that needed to see a neurologist and we will definitely use him again in the future.
