Our son has been with Solving Autism for almost one year. He was diagnosed with autism at 21 months old and has been in many different therapies with different providers over the past two years.I actually worked with children with autism for 12 years and have extensive experience in the field of ABA. I can say that in my opinion as a former provider and parent that this is the absolute best most dedicated child centered therapy that my son has ever received. Every provider that he works with is deeply invested not only in his success but in ours as a family as well. They are committed to parent training and taking the skills learned in ABA and applying them directly to the childs life. This is a practice of people that are comfortable helping parents at their level and discussing why a program works for a child. I especially appreciate someone that will advocate on the half of my son when his words cannot. We have immense hope and joy with every day that passes. It is beautiful to watch ABA used in a way that is data driven. Youre able to see the exact data on a daily basis that shows the trends of what works for your child. It has been especially wonderful because its feedback that is objective and not based on emotion or what Autism brings to our life that day.I would especially like to say to any parent thats reading this review and their child just received an autism diagnosis therapy with Solving Autism will be a life long giftinvestment in your child and family. This company does not do therapy for the sake of billing. With a full heartAshley R.

Words can not express how ABA therapy at the Solving Autism clinic in Fort Mill has helped my daughter and exceeded my expectations The one star reviews I read on this company have clearly not been clients of this AMAZING group of professionals. This is a privately owned company which in and of itself should tell you the selflessness of the owner. All of the RBTs and BCBAs love working here. This is a place of inclusion and the children are allowed to be themselves. They teach patients that they can shine their light and be exactly who they are by co-existing in this neurotypical world. My daughter used to have horrible tantrums would not allow me to brush her teeth potty training seemed impossible she would not keep a hair ties in her hair would wriggle out of her seatbelt was not talking etc. These Registered Behavior Technicians and Board Certified Behavior Analysts have helped her overcome ALL these obstacles and how to maintain independence with LIFE SKILLS The children have a sensory center a gym where they can bounce jump roll and swing. They have brought in therapy rabbits take them to the park to get fresh air and free play circle time where social skills are enhanced art is a cornerstone and they have a very creative art teacher They also have a music session where children can play instruments vocalize a joyful noise and dance Alyson the owner also hosts monthly parent sessions where we can come together and network discuss techniques and practices and we the parents can share notes on how we are able to find success at home or resources in the community. I have never met a person as dedicated and passionate about the autistic community than Alyson She is the most kind and caring person who will meet your child exactly where they are and has the gift to think outside the box and help create individual plans for each patients unique needs. She encourages her staff to be innovative while maintaining compliance and state laws. There is no one I would trust more with my Autistic daughter than Solving Autism She feels valued and loved and not only is she potty trained brushing her own teeth staying in her seatbelt and having minimal tantrums...but she is now talking and singing...and even finally told me that she loved me. As a mom there are no words to express what is possible with the right people talent resources and care that Solving Autism brings. THANK YOU is an understatement. This company was a God send to our family A Company

This company has changed the life of my step son. It is wonderful run with caring therapists and BCBAs who are always looking for the best way to help him and our family succeed He was making more progress with Solving Autism than in any school environment he had ever been enrolled in including public and private schools in the area. We are happy to have Alyson and this company working with our child

We were introduced to this company shortly after our son was diagnosed with autism at 2 years old he is now 9. Our son has been working with Alyson and her team for over 7 years. Alyson has dedicated her life to working with kids on the spectrum and it shows in our son. She has become a huge part of our lives and through her BCBAs and therapists our child has achieved more than we imagined possible. They work closely with each family and child and always see the potential we never thought was possible. They have been a bigger support to us than any medical professional in 9 years. We owe each milestone and achievement to Alyson and her team.they are truly amazing. My son LOVES going to the clinic If you know love or parent a child with autism this is the place that can support you and help your child achieve at their highest potential. Their love for the autism community is like no other.and we are so lucky to have them in our sons life

STAY AWAYThey mainly use ABA which has been proven time and time again to be massively abusive to autistic childrenTheyre literally using a puzzle piece as a logoYour child is different not broken Forcing them to act and appear neurotypical is actively harmful. Find therapy that tries to guide them not change them.

My son has been with this company since he was 3. I cannot say enough about all the therapists staff owner truly all wonderful caring engaged people. My son is nine now and I cannot imagine where we would be without their help. They have helped him tremendously and he is a totally different child. They work tirelessly to ensure that we meet all our goals creatively. The staff is very compassionate about what they do well trained as well as creative caring and kind. Theyve helped us overcome so many obstacles. I also know that when people have popped in for tours they always write how clean organized and caring the staff is. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking to help their child.

Do not trust this company or the owner. They support Autism Speaks a well known hate organization dedicated to spreading misinformation and disgusting rhetoric about the autistic community. Alyson the owner has a blog and one post was titled 5 worst foods for autism actively contributing to more misinformation and harmful rhetoric being spread.

Alyson has been working with our family for years. She has been amazing in helping with behaviors my child has. She has worked really hard to get to know my child my family dynamics and other things that are important in helping my child get to a good place with behaviors. When we started out my child was having multiple meltdowns a day and they could last anywhere from several minutes to hours and even after a meltdown the residual could leave my child in a very fragile place where the littlest things could begin another meltdown. She gave us the tools to help calm the meltdowns and reset the mood. Other challenging behaviors like running off hitting and self harm scratching slapping because of frustration were addressed and thanks to techniques and tools she provided those behaviors are minimal. She created social stories charts and other visual things for my child to be able to communicate needs and wants. This helped a lot with frustration. She also helped create a schedule system for my child that has helped with keeping a good routine. It also helped my child to be able to let me know when they wanted to do certain things.Transitioning has always been a challenge but Alyson also has worked with us to help make transitioning from one thing to the next easier. Before Alyson started working with us transitions were awful. Often it led to full blown meltdowns but with her help incidents are few and far between at this point and even then the behavior is more manageable because of the techniques she has provided.Alyson is definitely knowledgeable on working with children who have difficult behaviors and she gets down to the bottom of things. She pays attention to details that others may not feel are relevant but they are. I am thankful that we have been able to work with her.

My two children on the autism spectrum have received exceptional behavioral and life skill interventions through Solving Autism. Alyson Shaffer the owner began working with my son 8 years ago when she first started her business. The growth in my son and her company has been phenomenal I attribute the growth of both to her extensive experience as an educator and BCBA Board Certified Behavior Analyst and to her compassion for her clientsfamilies and passion to make a difference in their lives. Through consistent ABA therapy my son who had significant aggressive behaviors has been transformed. Removed from the public school system at age 8 due to aggression he has received in-home instruction with consistent therapies and now works a job in a coffeehouse as a dishwasherbus boy and has started his own photography business. The RBTs Registered Behavior Therapists that have worked with my son and our family have taught how to extinguish negative behaviors and reinforce positive ones they have helped us structure his day and provided strategies to manage his anxiety they have worked alongside him to develop social skills needed to interact with not only with his sibling but also with Boy Scouts in his troop where he now serves in a leadership position. The therapy is priceless and Solving Autism has successfully advocated on our behalf with our insurance company on several occasions so that my children could continue with services. Across the board our experiences with Solving Autism have been exceptional and life changing.

We have had a great experience working with Solving Autism. Our son has been getting therapy for a little over a year through them and it has made a world of difference. Lisa and Kayla are absolutely phenomenal therapists and we are very very fortunate to have them in our lives. Our program coordinators first Danielle and then Allison have also been great to work with. They keep us informed about different goals programs and what we are trying to accomplish. They also have been great resources when we have IEP or other meetings with our sons school. It is comforting to have them as a resource because things can definitely feel overwhelming at times so having them there to help is great.Billing with Renee has been very easy and they handle submitting everything to insurance so it is a fairly easy process once it is all set up.So all in all I would definitely recommend Solving Autism. The biggest thing I think is getting a therapist who meshes well with your child and we were able to get that with them.
