About Music Therapy for Autism

Music Therapy for Autism (MTfA) is completely unique from other music therapy companies in Atlanta. In fact, we are the only music therapy company in the area that specializes exclusively in autism. MTfA was created by Angela Ryles, a neurologic music therapist and former teacher of a self-contained autism program.

Angela is fun energetic and engaging. She truly has a heart for individuals with autism and is committed to using her knowledge and training to help unlock their full potential. Angela takes the time to get to know each client in order to determine what works best in addressing their particular challenges. My daughter has been seeing her for about 4 years and not only enjoys their time together but is also making progress especially in her ability to communicate with others.

Mrs Ryles is amazing. My daughter is currently 7 and was diagnosed with autism when she was 2. We started seeing Mrs Ryles since my daughter was about 5. The progress she has made with my daughter in the last 2 years has been unbelievable. My daughter went from almost non-verbal1 word answers to reading stories and answering W questions. She will communicate her needs now very clearly and in a direct manner. The eye contact has improved tremendously.Mrs Ryles gives me hope where speech therapy struggled. Mrs Ryles is so well educated on dealing with kids with special needs she has a resource for just about any question you might ask is extremely thorough and honest. She is truthful about how she can help and will no string you along just for a buck. Mrs Ryles is not afraid to get on the floor with your child if it is needed. She keeps it fun and engaging for my daughter. If something needs to be changed in the treatment she will make the change and advise you of her ongoing plan. My daughter asks for her by name.If you are looking for a great music therapist who is willing to be part of the team so as to better service your child you cannot go wrong with Mrs Ryles.

If I could give her a zero I would. This woman is ridiculous. Why advertise for lessons and you have zero availability. She said the waiting list it long- okay cool. I asked if the waiting list was closed She said ummmm I dont know but its years long It was like speaking to an unaware new hire. Dont advertise your services if you are not taking on new clients. Smh
