We have been patients here for 10 years. I drive 90 min each way for every appointment for my 2 kids and its worth every second. One son had a meltdown about being in the room the doc sat on the hall floor with us questions about meds They actually know my kids charts. Its amazing the level of care they provide and work so well with families to ensure youre heard. They know what theyre doing for sure and we feel so lucky we got in all those years ago and love the progress our boys have made and the treatment theyve had as patients here.

If I could give a zero I would. Been waiting to get my son back into Lurie center and they said no future visits because he missed some way back in 2016. They basically kick you out for canceling appointments. Sorry but my son is autistic and driving during a meltdown is unsafe. You would think they would be understanding. When I called about this the receptionist is rude. Dont waste your time going here for services

Very disappointed in the care provided by this center. Despite being autistic and diagnosed formally via a neuropsychological exam at Brigham Womens and being accepted into the Lurie Center the provider chosen for me not only told me she thinks I am not autistic and should be reevaluated there she got my medical information incorrect in my medical files. The physician was like a car salesman trying to sell me on my son being seen there a neuro with another physician despite being told initially neuros are only completed prior to age 5 by the front desk because they are inundated. The administration was curt have a policy of you get who you get for a provider and you dont get upset. I write this to warn ALL the families who wait SO LONG to see quality providers and seek appropriate care for their child to see it elsewhere. I waited 9 months for this disaster for medication management and was told despite how uncomfortable and disappointed I was with my provider I can take it or leave the program. It is a shame that the center does not live up to the mission and vision of the Lurie Foundation.

The Lurie Center offers great psychiatry psychotherapy and programming services. Dr. McDougle is prompt and responsive and spends time with clients to ensure that they are heard and understand their medications. Additionally the ASPIRE program offers supportive programming and opportunities for autistic individuals to develop skills find work and build community.

Highly recommend. We have been treated with the utmost respect true caring and expertise. I see one stars because they are not accepting new patients - I am sure that this is due to resource restraints. My heart goes out to the unserved families but the staff is great.

Tried and failed to even get past the front desk to make new patient apt.Finding a new dev pediatrician having moved state is not easy my first question was do you take my insurance the answer was you need to call your insurance company we cant tell you that.I said ok they will ask for an NPI number what is it They said we cant tell you that until you schedule an apt.I said I dont want to schedule an apt until I know if you take my insurance Linda was doing her best but the system is flawed chicken and egg game. I abandoned the game

If I could give it a Zero I would.Days before you get Call back10 days wait for medication refillCancel appointments last minute and make you wait months for new dates.Doctors dont listen and in our 2 years havent done 1 significant thing to help my son.Biggest mistake Ive ever made in my 15 year old life. Never a worse autism related office and services.Dont even think about getting solid date for an evaluation.Complete disaster.

EXCELLENT care I cant thank them enough Everyone we have worked with has been incredibly caring and supportive. They go above-and-beyond to help support the whole family and make sure the person with ASD is getting the support they need to reach their potential.

I waited a year for an appointment for my son because I was told the Lurie center was the gold standard for autism diagnosis. The initial appointment I had with a clinician was so confusing I didnt return. The clinician met with me while my son played with toys in her office and she took our family history. When she finished she told me she saw no signs of autism in my son she said she had been observing while he played and she has been doing this for a long time and could tell she didnt speak to my child at all. But she wanted us to come back and meet with another clinician because of his quirky history. I left that meeting so confused thinking that was what autism testing was. The clinician never mentioned coming back to have a neuropsych eval or any other testing. I was so confused after the visit - thinking my son didnt have autism because the clinician just told me he didnt - I didnt return. After much confusion and wasted time my son has been diagnosed with autism through a different organization and is finally getting the help he needs. What a terrible experience.

I honestly HATE the Laurie center I had a feeling the nerologist secretly limited me and I think he doesnt wanna admit that he only wants me to date a person who is autistic as me according to how my disability is. I rather listen to my old doctor who is already been retired now
