Dr Cardenas is awesome and so exceptional in his review of ur conditiondisease. I would have rated his practice higher but his receptionist should be fired or a crash course on customer service. She was abrupt rude and gave the impression she could have cared less it was a 2 hr drive when I was 8 min late for my appt. I had to reschedule because of traffic issues. Maybe I should camp out in my car so I wont be late with this horrid traffic conditions and construction

How do I get ahold of him. Called 4 times trying to become a new patient. No one answered after waiting between 15 min 30 min each call. Im sure hes got plenty of patients and isnt overly concerned about adding new ones but at least have some respect for our time so we can find someone to help. This is absurd.

Dr. Javier and his team saved my brain I couldnt be more grateful. He is focused caring listens and on time. He knows his specialty and has my trust. I have been a nurse for 41 years and I am highly critical of care but I do not have one criticism of Dr. Cardenas or his team in PT OT or Speech therapies at Barrow. You only get one brain so give it the best care available.

Dr. Cardenas himself is terrific but his office staff is absolutely horrendous. For people that treat brain injuroes youd think they would be more accommodating and understanding to patients who are struggling with paperwork regardless of age. The women that I encountered the first day I was in the office rushed me to finish documents then seemed annoyed with me because I was not done even though I was early to the appointment. Hurried me to a room where I waited for quite a while amd when I was finished with papers one of the girls snatched it out of my hands.Upon leaving I wa as supposed to get an referrals for an MRI Sppech and Occupational therapy as well as a list of counselors. This didnt happen and I began calling every day to leave messages snd ask what was next and hadnt gotten a response.I also needed assistance coordinating with my disability administrator so that I could still get paid while off of work. I have left three or four messages with his medical assistant directly and one one the general office line...not a single one has been returned. This was the scariest thing I have ever been through and the additonal stress this staff is creating is unthinkable.

Terrible doctor as far as I am concerned will not listen to your complaints for any reason. Unless he sees evidence in a x-ray ct scan MRI etc it doesnt exist. I tried to explain my symptoms to him and all I got was we did x-ray and test I just cant justify what your telling me. But I guess thats what you get from a doctor thats being paid by workers compensation.
