I came to see Dr. Daksesh Patel for help and treatment and that is not what I received at this practice. This is the reason that you go to any doctor but sadly not all standards are the same and in this day and age I refuse to accept this from a new doctor that I see. I called several days after my appointment in an attempt to get my lab results but after two attempts I just stopped because I never received phone calls back. Also while I can understand things get busy why would this office have an online portal for patients if they cant even upload the results to be viewed I then decided it would be best to reach out to the labs directly which turned out to be much more effective.I have never once had to do this before because an office has always given the patient the courtesy of a callback. The issues at this practice only got worse after this point. I was still suffering from the original issues that I went in for and I relayed this to staff and never once did Dr. Patel even attempt to communicate with me over this. Also the staff says the patient portal is the best way to communicate with the doctor but its not monitored because I didnt get any type of response on my first message sent. When I conveyed these issues to the staff I was informed that they are busy and short-staffed. I refuse to accept this kind of treatment from any doctors office and will look elsewhere. In a city as large as Chicago there is no shortage of good doctors who actually want to help their patients and take what they have seriously.Update I received an unwarranted call from the office manager who had a very bad attitude. The Office manager I believe her name was Christine said that my information was untrue. Nonetheless I was not going to argue with her so I ask that this office stops contacting me as I am no longer a patient. I also told the nurse this as well but apparently the message isnt getting across. GI alliance has numerous poor reviews on multiple platforms and my only regret is not listening to them prior to coming here. Please head the reviews and due your due diligence. This is starting to feel like they are trying to retaliate against me as a patient for a bad experience that they put me through.

He made astute diagnostic recommendations which I found significant and rare -- I look forward to pursuing ongoing care in his practice.Dr. Patel immediately engenders confidence demonstrates a sincere curiosity about your health issues and has a presence that assures you not only is he listening critically and imaginatively but he is analyzing to determine the best course of treatment for you. He was understanding personable and addressed every GI concern I had. I also appreciated that I did not feel rushed and that my opinions were validated. I give him my highest recommendation.

Ill be brief but this office is extremely unprofessional. I have a potentially life-threatening condition that requires an endoscopy and possibly surgery. I scheduled an appointment and the earliest one was about 2 months out. I waited and waited and less than 48 hours before my appointment I receive a call from their office saying my insurance wasnt accepted there even though I asked the receptionist multiple times to confirm it was. I have been in pain for months and get this notice less than 48 hours before the appointment.... if your office cannot handle basic scheduling then I dont trust you to perform complex procedures such as an endoscopy and especially not a surgery.

go anywhere else jerks on the phone never respond to appointment requests makes no sense and is condescending on phone calls. doctors think they are so much better than everyone else. smh

The doctor is nice - but the administration is a big corporate money grub. I was supposed to be called to be scheduled for a procedure and NO ONE CALLED me. Additionally you should always expect to be put into an automated phone que where youll either have to hold for 10 or 15 minutes or get a call back. You can never get a human on the line within 2-5 minutes. And then of course when you get a human - they dont know anything and dont really care - theyre just paid to be human automated schedulers. This is a big monstrous corporation that has swallowed up good doctors in a bureaucratic money machine.Once youre in the office - the nurses and docs are nice enough - but they make you work hard to get into the office and get callbacks.

I requested an appointment on the GI alliance of Illinois website and received no response so I assumed my appointment was valid. I went to the Doctors office on the date of my requested appointment but the receptionist told me she had no records of my appointment. I called the GI office and complained that I had to jump my car and drive for a long time to get to the office. The rep could not tell me why there was a problem and put the blame on me that I had requested the appointment on the website.

They charge a ton and the portal wont work. If theres another place available go there but they are friendly

Dr. Gluskin is one of a kind the most caring and knowledgeable MD. I have ever seen. We were 30 min late to our appointment due to traffic and long distance and Dr. G. was willing to see my husband and take care of him even after hrs on a Friday evening. Amita Health is very lucky to have such an excellent doctor representing their Health System .

Wait time was 5 weeks to see DrG but we found him to be a gentle kind man with good listening skills. He could not help but offered options. Most doctors today do not listen.Yes I would recommend him.

Dr. Lawrence Gluskin is an excellent Doctor. He listened to my concern and made me understand the reason why I am in pain. I had an endoscopy procedure and now I feel great. No more pains in my stomach. I would recommend him to my friends and family.

Dr Gluskin is an amazing doctor. Ive seen him for many years including one that was pretty dang sketchy - in which he helped me survive. He handles patients with respect patience and care. You can tell that he truly cares about the well being of each and every single one of his patients. Hes a blessing to the field of GI
