Goodwill Industries of Chesapeake

I donated my car and donation process itself was pretty complicated causing more headache than necessary. They will harass you until you literally give up your car then wont help you with any tax related issues that will cost me more. AVOID AT ALL COST.

This is the worst company to work for. I worked for this company for 14 years always helped in all store. Make this company so much money. The store are over priced. Dont care about employees. Dont donate to this company.

Manager Michelle at the Belair Road Store 5234 is extremely rude and unhelpful. I will also post this on Next Door if I dont get satisfactory help.

Im very happy with this Goodwill. They were very polite and concerned with my shipping problems. Communication A. They made it right with me and Im very glad to have done business with them. Goodwill Industries is a treasure for us all.

I think its very wonderful that I work at Goodwill Industry at the Chesapeake Bay is a very good establishing I appreciate everything that youve done for me to give me the opportunity to change to have a job and it be successful

My experience has been nothing but rude and unprofessional. Everything from donating to trying to purchase has been rude. When donating no one came out to help me they expected me to carry it into their building. When trying to purchase they were rude. You can no longer purchase bulk items and them hold them from less than 2 hours in order for you to return with a vehicle to accommodate them. Instead of being nice about it they were rude with its a law on the book and I am not getting wrote up for it the rule is fine but post it and dont be rude. After living in many places and spending many hundreds and donating the same. I will no longer support them here. No donations no spending because I deserve to be talked to with manners and treated as if my donations are appericiated. Corporate was no help in the matter and was far from helpful when called to complain about rude manager.

I shop there almost every week. My kids and I were victims of a house fire. We lost everything but the clothes on our backs. So devastating and 3 kids still in school was rough. My son came home crying the kids at school teased him because i washed his uniform everday but they knew it was the same everyday. One evening i stopped at the goodwill in Owings Mills. The staff was the best Im in tears..I had 100 bucks and this was put togethers by friends this is what they raised and i was greatful. There were so many nice clothing and shoes I drowned in them. One of the staff members got me a cart and said take your time. I told the young lady ages and sizes of my kids oh and myself. I purchased almost an entire wardrobe for us. To make this long heartfilling story This goodwill store made the difference in our lives. Thank you also to the donaters. Without them these nice pieces would be all for nothing. We are able to appreciate their existence. So with that being said we are blessed.

I have shopped several of the Goodwill stores in the Baltimore are and I was shocked to find shoes marked at 24 40 50. These were not new in the box...

Literally neither of the 2 people I worked with have responded to emails. I felt unheard during a meeting with a staff person. Ive only received 1 correspondence about the resources I applied over the course of over 2 months. I hope Im the exception to the rule and slipped through a crack. They didnt work for me but hopefully theyll work for you. Parking and traffic can be awful in the area so prepare should you choose to go to the resource hub downtown.UPDATE I was given a new advocate who has done a much better job at reaching out and sharing information appropriate to my needs. Im more hopeful now.

One of the worst companies to work and shop at. The non-retail side is the best but Im starting to wonder if there are better programs for people in need. Goodwill is not such a good company.

The staff is knowledgeable kind and so helpful. In a time when many people may look down at you for struggling Ms. Hill did not. I am very grateful for the help I received and for the love I was shown. I will never forget their help
