I keep losing a job due to my disability. I have been filing cases and no justice is served. They dont care I get fake web addresses for help. They dont care.

They were awesome years ago for special education. When it comes to disability rights for prisoners doing well. I qs an adult with a known disability and facing housing discrimination this has been a bad nightmare. No acknowledgement. Megan waited a year to tell me what she needed. Going on 3rd year homeless.

They helped me with legal advice and suggestions. They are a nonprofit so people be grateful that someone tried helping in this selfish world we live in

Overall very good generally.My son was put in special education at 3 years hes 40 now in prison since 15 his major charges writing threatening letters to Public officials. Very political so no one in Illinois will touch. Diagnosed schizophrenia at long time ago. Mental health adult group home is answer he has equal to life me too.Amanda has been helpful and Rachel as well. Dr Marano was let go from Joliet Dr Hurly why For years this organization involved in many issues. Today blown off in an email from Amanda same attorney last call oh dont worry call anytime. I have disability as well but in Peoria Barry Taylor blew me off fair housing issues when Advocates for access kept calling. Also Prairie state in Peoria no fair housing still homeless guys Tammy Duckworth screwed Peoria housing Authority.

Heard about them through a referral from another lawyer who was too busy to take on casework. Just like the other lawyers I tried contacting they are also too scared to help with a disability discrimination case I have been hopelessly trying to file against a former employer for the last two years.Had two phone calls provided details and then they disappeared because just like everybody else they also want to avoid people with autism.

I was talking to a lawyer from Equip for Equality for a whole year now. When it came time to doing any substantive work they refused and told me to hire a lawyer. They are unwilling to do any work or see a case through to completion. They are willing to give advice so I have found them to be better than nothing. Just dont expect much.

They told me to file internal complaints and if i wanted a lawyer id have to get one myself. I dont know how... Thats why I went to them for help. All they did was give me links that didnt help. I begged for help some direction anything. I dont understand I told them I dont understand but they said they dont have the resources to help me. People like me dont have anyone helping them if they wont help me who will I dont know what to do. I dont understand

EFE is a wonderful organization that beautifully resolved an issue that I was having. I suspect that those giving bad reviews did not present strong argumentsexamples of discrimination or were not truly disabled as defined by law. My situation was a clear violation of the Americans With Disabilities Act and I had proper documentation supporting disability. Attorney that unrepresented me LA you know who you are took the extra mile to assist me. If I am ever in position to financially support this wonderful organization it would make me very happy.

I contacted equip for equality 2 months ago for help. I got two phone calls from them interviewing me to see if they would help me. I was terminated from my mental health services in retaliation for making a complaint. I believe I am being discriminated against. Equip for equality told me they would be getting back to me. That was two months ago. I contacted them yesterday. They now say sorry for not getting back to me. They tell me to call the division of mental health in Illinois for help with my complaint. In other words they did absolutely nothing for me. I am left without mental health services and they had me waiting all this time for help. I contacted them in the past and they were useless then too. Dont rely on this place for help. They will just have you waiting to find out they are doing nothing for you. And the state lists them as a place that can help you with your grievance with your mental health center. They dont help with anything. You cant get help in this state.
