I have a handicapped brother that was working at ECHO since 2008. Recently he has had some behavior problems and does have someone that works with him. He lives in a group home in Sterling and was being transported to the ECHO facility to work. They began to stop paying him saying he would not work. They then without contacting the group home or myself sent a quarterly report that was so bad it made all of us cry. On the 30th of December 2022 they fired him saying that they didnt have staff to keep others safe from him. He is not violent but can act out at times. They refused to work with the behavioral specialist that he had and refused to let him work to earn money. I think they have been getting rid of anyone they felt that would be mobile or speak out for themselves. They stop giving him work a while ago and blamed it on him. I think there practices need to be looked into at this point since they are a non profit organization that is supposed to help the disabled. They are not helping and making the ones they do not want to deal with very uncomfortable. My brother ow has no job and no where to go during the day. This is very sad and should be stopped.

As an advocate for my sister it saddens me to see how the staff working at ECHO treat the individuals and their family. Extremely unprofessional and rude.
