It should be called disability assistance of MD. They do absolutely nothing for rights what so ever. All they do is help with services if anything at all. As a mom of multiple disabled children with multiple issues they did nothing to help me with anything. Complete waste of time as if there arent enough orgs pushing services while the rights of the disabled being trampled still no help in sight. SAD.

This organization is a scam Reached out to them and although they list help in certain areas on their website they actually dont do anything. It sounds like they are just collecting government tax breaks and incentives for advocation services they dont actually provide.

Called and they answered the phone to tell me they are not taking any calls and would not allow me to even leave a message absolutely NO help whatsoever

I am a mother of a child with special needs I have needed urgent help with my sons school specifically with the IEP team I have knocked on many doors on MCPS some organizations in Maryland have referred me to this organization for advocacy help at school which is so needed since schools are also very far from working proactively and in conjunction with the parents of special children. I have been calling them since February 8 months on repeated occasions leaving them voice messages they have never returned a single call it seems ridiculous to me to have these organizations to help children with disabilities who do not help or serve any purpose lack compassion when They dont even return phone calls.

Less than zero. They dont answer their phones return calls. They make promises they dont keep. They are worthless to disabled individuals that have to rely on organizations that claim to care but clearly do not.

Not the same as they used to beI know the staff they dontvre tg urn calls. The director knows me she hadnt return calls in 2020 when I got sick and again re recently in the last 3 weeks as wellLooking for service for myselfeven after coming to the office couldnt get in and going to intake person. It dosent make you feel good as a disable person when you know legally you are mistreated

Why DOES THIS RIDICULOUS PLACE EXIST Joke like most helpful organizations . How is possible this Jaqueiline ignorant front desk GHOST receives a paycheck O ANY person . They Do NOTHING .

I will be forever grateful to the MDLC and Nicole Joseph the attorney who helped my son and I deal with the Baltimore City School System. My sons needs were not being met within the mainstream school setting as a special needs child. Nicole went above and beyond to make sure he was receiving what he needs and being treated like every child should be Thank You All

I tried to seek help from this disgraceful organization. They made many promises to me on the phone about helping but then a few days later they sent me an e-mail that felt like I was being stabbed in the back. Then when I sent an e-mail which I CCed the higher officials of DRM calling them out on the aid they originally promised they sent a mailed letter that further felt like a slap in the face they even had the gall to include a complaint form that will go no where. If you choose to seek help from DRM just remember your not going to people that care to help those that are misfortuned and in need you are going to a company that gets seven figure donation stipend that seemingly does little to nothing.If you choose to seek help from DRM I hope you have better luck than me.
