My daughter has lived at Day Spring for 20 years. During Covid staffing has been difficult at times. We are fortunate to have very kind loving employees who are able and willing to go that extra mile. Those who recognize that this kind of care giving is not for them leave us quickly. My daughter is well cared for loved and protected. She has flourished under the care of our wonderful staff. My family is blessed.

I volunteer with Day Spring and attend meetings with both staff and people in administration. Providing a fulfilling happy safe place for the people we serve is at the forefront of every decision we make. Were excited to have new leadership to make us even better at what we do.

Like many person- care service jobs DS has struggled to find help in the pandemic and like many organizations it is not perfect. My sister has lived at DS since it opened 36 years ago. At its best residents families board members friends and volunteers strive together as a community to support he residents in living a rich and joyful life. There have been ups and downs good and bad decisions imperfect peoplebut arent we allIt is this striving this goal of a rich and joyful life for the residents that sets Day Spring apart. The direct service personnel are dedicated and supportive of the residents. I cannot praise them enoughthey are the heartbeat of the organization. Its not an easy job but by and large they find it fulfilling. With renewed leadership and as we emerge from the pandemic there is new enthusiasm and dedicationand hope.Wont you join us in service to the residents as a volunteer as a donor

Safety is an issue here. 24 hour emergency help is not guaranteed. Family is expected to contact ambulance transport etcBe cautious. What they promise in their contract turns out to be not supported by CFL as we have been told after starting here. We dont do employment support redo the do medical support etc. also the 4-hour per day mentors are often remote to better allocate resources

Clients are not well-taken care of key staff are abused or under-appreciated and safety is never a priority. Upper management could care less. Go anywhere else

Staff are blamed for all problems. Management are reluctant to take responsibility or inconvenience themselves. Staff are expected to cancel life family and soical events and work if shifts need to be filled. Most residents families are appreciative but not all. In the end the low level works who do the hands on work get the short end of every stick. I would definitely NOT recommend working here. There are many other caregiving services in Louisville.

Currently Day Spring is going through the aftermath of a large merger. It is a bit unorganized at the moment however the organization is making great progress each day.The administrative staff are all highly professional and polite. The living conditions are maintained exceptionally well. You can expect the company to grow and make even more advances in the near future.

I found them to be Very Very disorganized when it came to staffing. Thry have no staffing skills at all. If they have a home in your area they will send you across town to a house called Baxter. The Baxter house has the most challenging residents. And the staff thats closet to the area dont wanna work there cause theyre lazy. So Baxter is also the house with the most staff DRAMA. They dont leave their problems at the door. Also the training was awful it was entirely too lo and the time frames was horrible. The presentations sucked. In the end I was devastated that I left my employment join this circus. I feel so bad for the people that rely on these people for guidance and care. Need I say that I quit. Not resigned quit. Unless you like DRAMA and Dysfunction you will too.
