About Alabama Autism Assistance Program

The HANDS Program opened its doors in 2006 to children diagnosed with autism and their families. We have provided one-on-one and small group behavioral therapy, as well as training and consultation services for over 10 years! We have since expanded our services to also include teen and adult groups, a Kinect sports program, a financial assistance program! At HANDS, we believe that it is not the diagnosis that matters. We focus on each person individually and help them reach their full potential.

My child needs behavior therapy but our insurance does not cover it with her diagnosis. I have been so pleased with The Hands Program. They have adapted the therapy schedule to meet my daughters needs and have been so willing to work with us on fees. We feel so blessed to have found them

My daughter participated in the summer preschool class and now does one on one therapy there. We are so grateful to all of the people at the hands program because they were willing to adjust to our needs. We have only Been doing individual behavior therapy for a few months and have already started to see some growth and change in my daughter.

The one in Birmingham has to be better than the one in Tuscaloosa. My nephew attends the one in Tuscaloosa. I really havent heard anything good about them. We are currently looking for some where else to take my nephew because all they want is your money but providing very poor services. We also spoke with two other parents and it seems as if they arent too happy either.
