I wasnt going to leave a bad review because the gym is great but since my roommate also noticed as well the new guy Devin didnt seem welcoming nor accommodating at all. We were going to renew our membership but decided not to since it seems like a hassle to him. The gym is great but sometimes it does get too crowded and you will see people lining up for some of the machines. Its just not our scene but its a great community.

Homeless people wander the building. Alcohol bottles fill the trash cans. Always out of soap in the bathrooms. Yet the employees freak out if you bring a bag into the treadmill room and complain if you slam your weights in an empty gym.

I love my Rec Center. Everyone who works here is friendly and kind. Pottery rocks. Yoga in the mornings is appreciated

UpdateBasketball closed for awhileNew staff worse the the people that used to be there.Rougher area being downtown attracts more transient people.Great facility a couple great machines and decent free weights.Older style building but making the most of the space available.

Great place to workout if you dont like the crowd. The staff there is awesome. They stay on top of things there for sure. They treat everyone with respect from the business man with a tie or the guy living in the side wall. They treat people like people here.

David was incredibly helpful with answering all of my questions He walked me through the pricing options and how to get started with their services. Wonderful customer service and very friendly. I am glad to hear this gym has recently reopened. Cant wait to hopefully get started soon

I have been working out here for 24 years. Two things one positive one negative The days of the 10 yearly membership that gave homeless a place to shower and take up all the locker space have been gone for some time the weight room used to be upstairs and had more room and more free weights less machines it was a serious big guy gym. Combine that with the boxing and it intimidated a lot of folks from joining. Unfortunate for them they would have found a lot of support from those patrons. For many years now it has been a kindler gentler 20th St. but still the best place to workout near downtown. Enough free weights to get a serious session in. No froo-froo vibes of Uptown gyms. Staff is literally the best knowledgeable and experienced staff in Denver P R. Still a great place to box play ball and lift. Powerful hot showers to hit those sore spots after you are finished working out. Highly recommend. I give it 45 because I prefer the larger weight room more free weights benches squat racks and old school machines of the past.

Clean. Accessible. Options. Space. Knowledgeable staff. Programs all week. The only thing I dont like is that they arent open earlier. Other than that I would recommend this place and the membership options to go to multiple facilities is a great deal that rivals the corporate gyms.

This gym is a hidden gem in the heart of downtown. Incredibly friendly and active staff who keep the place running flawlessly. Despite what some dated reviews may say this place is really clean and the equipment is well maintained. Be sure to take advantage of the indoor pool basketball court and free fitness classes.

Best gym in Denver. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The equipment is top notch. They have a pool boxing ring weights treadmills etc. Its not too big or new to attract too many people. And in a pinch the staff might run a marathon with you.

The pool is a fantastic deal. Theres never more than a few people using it --I always have my own lane. 20 for a month-to-month pass. Its 20m instead...
