Abs kids has been a total blessing for my son. He has been with them for 4yrs and has grown so much. They are not only his therapist but. They are family. Wouldnt look for another aba place. Highly recommend this company

We have been taking our son to therapy with ABS Kids ABA therapy Center for some time now and he cant wait to go in and play and interact with the psychiatrist . He gets speech and occupational therapy. The front desk staff is very helpful. The therapists are kind welcoming and do a great job with our son. Based on what weve experience we can see its a great group that loves what they do. They offer ABA therapy in different setting like in the office at home and integrate with our community for example social groups my son school. I highly recommend them.

we were with ABS kids for 1.5 years. Within that time we went through 5 RBTs 2 of which were VERY unqualified to do the job. Every time we would have an RBT that was working wonderfully with your son and he would make strides we would get blindsided and our RBT would be replaced or we just wouldnt have one for a while. We were told at the beginning of our contract that consistency was key yet ABS kids was not consistent. Our latest BCBT was strictly virtual Im not sure how she could come up with a plan and new goals without ever laying eyes on my son or meeting him and getting to know him. When we voiced our concerns all we ever got was I know thats frustrating. Our BCBTs supervisor did not hesitate to offer for us to go else where when we voiced that were not happy that we kept getting shuffled and we wanted consistency for our son. All together our experience with ABS kids was nothing short of a frustrating run-around inconsistent headache. The RBTs care for your children but the higher up in the company you go the less they care about your kids. They are unprofessional do not communicate effectively will avoid you and not hold up their end of the contract. Ultimately their actions do not follow along with standard ABA therapy practices which in our opinion will set your child back further than they already are. Its already stressful for the children and families no one should have to tolerate the lack that of patient care. The way ABA practices is unacceptable.

What has happened to us has been disheartening disappointing mean and unkind.I DO NOT recommend ABS kids. This company needs to be shut down.Alessia was at ABS KIDS ABA therapy for the past 2 years... We saw progress. My daughter learned to communicate.. slowly but surely... she learned basic hand over hand sign language... such as bathroom more lets go help etc. Plus her self injurious behaviors decreased dramatically. She formed a special bond with her behavioral technician. Her behavioral therapist understood her and she understood her therapist.Within this past month her previous BCBA left the company and a new BCBA took over. I was told from ABS KIDS that they had not seen progress in functional communication and that they did not anticipate any progress in the future unless they could speak to specialists involved in deafblind education. There is little hope for children who are deafblind in Charlotte NC. The nearest school for the deafblind is an hour and a half away and they wont accept Alessia because of her feeding tube and medical disabilities. There is no other human being on this Earth that understands my daughter the way that I do. My daughter Alessia uses objects and body gestures to express her wants and desires. That is her way of communication. She will not use words and will never use words. She is a child with deaf blindness and autism. She uses touch and objects to communicate... After expressing my concerns with ABS KIDS they decided they could not help my daughter and discharged her offering a fade-out process of 3 weeks of ABA services... taking away her favorite therapist and the only one that has connected with her. They told us we had the option of in-clinic services if we could provide a CNA to administer tube feedings. My daughter goes to school from 8am to 3pm and they expected she go to the ABS clinic from 3pm to 7pm every day. Monday thru Friday.Would you put your kid from 8am to 7 pm to work How is this ethicalThe reason behind this is because all of their staff is leaving and they do not have BCBAs. But somehow they try to blame the childs lack of progress which is NOT true.Yet they keep getting more patients and bill medicaid fraudulently.RUN. DONT GO HERE. DONT PUT YOUR CHILDREN HERE.

Bait and SwitchThey do not practice real ABA methods and are of no use for Autistic kids over the age of 5yr they try to blame or gaslight the parents while their main focus is to bill the insurance and not provide any real therapy intervention they may have qualified RBT but they basically sit down and do nothing Choose a company that is willing to put in the work for your Autistic Child

This program discharged my child after 6 months of therapy with a 2 hour notice and no plan for his future care.
